Sports Massage

An effective technique to release tension and restore balance in your musculoskeletal system. It is a beneficial massage treatment to incorporate into a sporting regime for preparation, recovery and to prevent injuries occurring. But you don't have to be an athlete to receive this treatment, it's beneficial for those who work out casually as well.

The Sports Massage technique that is used during your treatment ensures efficient and effective results are gained. I will use a variety of classic massage strokes combined with deep tissues techniques to manage, manipulate and rehabilitate soft tissues including muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

What is MLD?  Manual Lymphatic Drainage has a powerful cleansing, relaxing, pain relieving and immunological effect.  It is a gentle, flowing, rhythmic massage.  MLD is used primarily to promote the optimal function of the lymphatic system.  It facilitates the removal of metabolic waste, excess water, toxins, bacteria and foreign substances from tissue.

The treatment is extremely gentle and leaves you feeling wonderful and relaxed.  It can improve energy, increase cellular oxygenation and nourishment as well as build immunity.

Hands Free Massage

I use my hands free massage training to help my cancer and fibromyalgia clients, using gentler effleurage techniques to aid relaxation, encouraging lymphatic movement and identifying areas of muscular concern.

The treatment allows clients to relax and may relieve pain and stress.  I can improve circulation and lower blood pressure.

Pregnancy Massage

A gentle way to connect with your baby and relax.  Using fluid massage strokes allows the body to relax and ease any discomfort you may be feeling.  The massage eases back pain, improves sleep and reduces fluid retention.  

I can also train your partner is massage techniques that can help you during your labour, ensuring you both feel part of the experience!

Rehabilitation Follow Up

The massage service is complimented with my exercise and pilates knowledge to help you with exercises to either stretch or strengthen problematic areas.
